Eddie’s Orks (Interrogate)

The Ork Kommandos deploy in a tower close to the Lamenter lines and the Scouts deploy close to the Orks front line.

The Assualt Terminators are deployed via Thunderhawk on the Orks left flank within strike range of the looted Chimera.

The cunning Orks with their insane strategy rating of 6 win the roll off and gain first turn….

The Orks advance, the Boyz rush forward with Nobs close behind gaining valuable ground. The Scouts in the tower call in Napalm Strike on the shock attack gun setting a few Grots on fire but otherwise ineffective. The Orks artillery fires their opening salvos, targeting the Lamenter’s Dreadnought and Land Raider but are unable to dial in their range.

The Land Raider rumbles forward with the Ork Dreadnought and the War Boss in its crosshairs. The Terminators charge the Chimera rending its hull appart with their thunder hammers and it careens in a flaming wreck toward the Lamenter’s line. The War Boss is vapourised by the twin lascannons from the Land Raider routing the near by nobs and pain boy. The heavy bolter opens up on the boys cutting down their advance. The second twin lascannon pierces the cockpit of the Dread killing the Grot interred within. All is going to plan with Strike Commander Corso coordinating manoeuvres from the command console within bastion of the Land Raider.

The Weird Boy launches a power vommit attack on the scouts reducing one to slag and the scorcher burns the Scout Sergeant to ash. The Codicier manifests The Quickening (there can be only one!)

The wrecked Chimera explodes killing all the boys onboard. A Terminator was caught with his back exposed to the blast unable to protect himself with his storm shield. With that the Orks launch their counter attack. The shock attack gun materialises Snotlings in the crew compartment, power plant and heavy bolter ammo compartment of the Land Raider. While the crew fight back the Snotlings an ominous scratching sound is eminating from the heavy bolters magazine and the engine….. Heavy plasma scores the Land Raider hull and blows off the left twin lascannon sponson. The Land Raider limps forward and comes to a permanent halt close to the centre of the battlefield.

The Land Raider fires at the Weirdboy with its remaining lascannon instantly vaporising him.
The Ork half track turns one of the advancing Dreadnoughts arms to slag. With alarms warnings blaring of imminent engine failure The Space Marines command retinue disembark the Land Raider under the covering fire of the Tactical Squad taking cover at the rim of a crater ready to take the fight to the frontlines of the crumbing Orks.

The Orks recover from the loss of their War Boss and the Nobs bellow orders and threats across the battle field at the artillery to get in the fight!
The driverless Wartrack careens toward the command squad and the gunner aims his multimelta and vaporises the Techmarine and Strike Commander Corso in a dizzying display of marksmanship before promptly slamming into a wall. Thinking that the worst was behind them the Space Marines held strong under the watchful gaze of their Chaplain only to witness him and a few other brother marines go up in flames from from a gout of promethium death unleashed from a nearby Scorcher shaking their resolve.

Seeing his entire command destroyed the Dreadnought tore apart the Scorcher as the black rage took over the ancient warrior. Moments later he is snatched into the air by the liftadropper and dashed to the ground, permanently disabling his leg actuators bringing his rampage to an end.
In an act of insane bravery and fueled by the Emperor’s wrath the Librarian charges out the crippled Land Raider to rend the remaining Nobs on the right flank appart with his force sword, to then bear down on the two hapless lads armed with plasma cannons thereby securing the flank and centre of the Orks backline.

As the battle drew to a close the remaining Tactical Marines engaged and elimated the Kommandos in the tower. In a roar of turbine engines an Ork fighter bomber strafes the remaining Scouts hauled up in the tower leaving a lone scout alive who hunkers down questioning his life choices. As the Lamenters scourer the battle field for survivors a massive earsplitting explosion rocks the battlefield as the Snotlings tearing through the Land Raiders engine finally find its fusion core. The great explosion and devastating shockwave provides the green skins the opportunity to retreat their artillery back to the Orks main army and the Space Marines secure the battlefield and lament their lost brothers…
