
Harvest of Fire
The fields of Brakkar 04 burned beneath a sulphurous sky as Orks of the Bad Moons and Evil Sunz clans clashed with the Blood Angels of Captain Tycho’s strike force. The Blood Angels aimed to eliminate a dangerous Warboss before he could muster his forces to full strength, while the Orks fought for the sheer joy of destruction.

Deployment
Blood Angels deploy the Tarantula and Techmarine on the left flank behind a wall, with the Dreadnought and Land Speeder close by to their right. The Terminators, Tycho, and Librarian hold the centre, while the Rhino carrying the Tactical Squad is on the right flank.
The Orks deploy the Warbikes on the left, the Bad Moons led by Nazdreg in the centre next to the Tinboyz. Further right of them are the Dreadnought, Weirdboy, Evil Sunz, and the Gretchin on the far right flank.
Death to the Greenskins!

The Marines win the roll-off for first turn. The Dreadnought, Land Speeder, and Rhino all race towards the enemy, while the Terminators and Tarantula take aim.

The Land Speeder moves far enough to bring its multi-melta within range of the Ork Dreadnought. An accurate shot ignites the Dreadnought’s ammunition, causing a massive explosion that destroys it and also kills one of the nearby Weirdboy Minderz and an Evil Sun.

The Land Speeder then trains its heavy flamer on the Weirdboy, spraying them with burning fuel; the Weirdboy is engulfed in flames…


But the Weirdboy miraculously survives, thanks to the Saved! Strategy Card.

The advancing Rhino fires its bolters into the Warbikes, killing one of the riders.
The Orks howl for vengeance, but the Bad Moons’ shooting at the Terminators is all deflected by their thick armour. The Bikers take aim at the Rhino, but their autocannons fail to penetrate it as well. Only the Tinboyz are successful, their heavy bolters shooting down the Land Speeder, which careens out of control and crashes in front of the Blood Angels Dreadnought.

The Tactical Squad disembark from the Rhino and split their fire between the Warbikes and Bad Moon mob, destroying another bike and felling some more boyz, fire from the Terminators also takes down a number of the Bad Moons, but the stern gaze of Nazdreg keeps them in order. The Blood Angel Dreadnought and Tarantula continue to cut down the Evil Suns, but the remaining boyz are undaunted and continue to close on the Dreadnought.
Nazdreg decides the ten Tactical Marines need a good kickin’ for shooting his ladz and charges them on his own, easily crushing the first Marine with his power klaw.

The few remaining Evil Sunz charge into combat with the Dreadnought, but the monstrous machine’s power fist makes short work of them all.

The rest of the Tactical Squad come to their late brothers’ aid, surrounding Nazdreg and striking him with a whirlwind of blows, but his refractor field, mega armour, and medi-squig save all but one wound, while his power klaw kills another Marine.

Meanwhile, the Rhino driver decides to use his vehicle as a battering ram, running over the last remaining Warbike, who was caught unprepared while trying to clear a jam.

The Gretchin mob has been running unmolested up the right flank, heading for the Techmarine and Tarantula.

The Techmarine decides to take matters into his own hands and charge the mob rather than wait for them

His skill in hand-to-hand combat matches his faith in the Machine Spirit, killing several Gretchin and the Runtherd, sending the rest of the mob fleeing.

After three rounds of combat, Nazdreg crushes the last of the Tactical Squad on the final turn, standing triumphant over their bodies. But all the Bad Moon Boyz have since fallen to the fire from Tycho and the Terminators. Surveying his forces, only the Tinboyz, Mekboy, and Weirdboy remain alive, Nazdreg decides he is hungry and that it’s time for lunch back at camp after a job well done crumpin’ ‘umies.
Blood Angels Victory! 12VP vs Orks 10VP
Blood Angels – 12vp: The Orks lost the Bad Mon mob, Evil Suns mob, Gretchin mob, Warbikes and Dreadnought, but they failed in the Assassin mission as Nazdreg survived the game.
Orks – 10vp: The Blood Angels lost the Tactical Squad, Land speeder and Rhino which was destroyed by a well placed melta bomb by the Mekboy on the last turn, and the extra points from Engage & Destroy mission closed the gap.
